When is the best time to take the Vitamin E FactorTM products?
Tocopherols and tocotrienols are lipid soluble. They require bile for efficient absorption. Production of bile by the liver is stimulated by the fat in our meals. For this reason Vitamin E FactorTM products are absorbed best when taken about half an hour before a meal, with the meal, or shortly thereafter.

Do you have the Vitamin E FactorTM products in tablets?
Our Vitamin E FactorTM products are available only as softgels. Tocopherols and tocotrienols are liquids in their natural unesterified form -this is the form best utilized by our body. Liquid products are best formulated as nutritional supplements in softgels. They protect the products from oxidation and they are easy to swallow.

I take dry vitamin E. Am I getting the full benefit?
Most likely not. Dry forms of E contain only alpha-tocopherol as the acetate or succinate ester. They do not contain the other tocopherols and tocotrienols.

You say that tocopherols and tocotrienols make up the vitamin E family. What about the Maxi-GammaTM product that does not contain tocotrienols?
Due to the importance of gamma-tocopherol, we developed the Vitamin E Factor Maxi-GammaTM that is very rich in natural gamma-tocopherol. Unlike our other Vitamin E FactorTM products, it does not contain tocotrienols. This product is designed for people that may want to take extra gamma-tocopherol due to special needs including patients with kidney or liver disease, those with a high risk of Alzheimer's, or those with high blood pressure. For more information, please see the E Factor Advantage.

I take a multivitamin which contains extra vitamin E. Do I need the Vitamin E FactorTM?

I take medications prescribed to me by my doctor. Can I take the vitamin E FactorTM?
For most medications there is no interaction and vitamin E may reduce their side effects. We recommend, however, that you talk to your physician before starting any nutritional supplement. Patients taking a blood thinner or those with coagulation abnormalities should notify their physician prior to taking vitamin E because of the propensity of Vitamin E to reduce platelet adhesion, especially at higher doses.

I take 800 IU of vitamin E. Do I need to take 2 softgels of your 400/400 product?
No, one softgel provides you with more benefits because the tocopherols and tocotrienols which are not included in the IUs provide you a wider spectrum of protection. In addition the other tocopherols and tocotrienols spare the alpha-tocopherol, which means it can last longer.

Other products contain 400 IU vitamin E and 500 milligrams C while the Antioxidant FactorTM contains only 100 IU vitamin E and only 200 milligrams vitamin C. Why?
Vitamin E. The Antioxidant FactorTM provides the complete family of tocopherols plus tocotrienols. Other products supply only alpha-tocopherol - most often the synthetic dl-alpha-tocopheryl acetate. As discussed in the Vitamin E FactorTM Advantage, natural alpha-tocopherol is twice as potent as the synthetic form. In addition our product supplies the other 3 tocopherols and 4 tocotrienols in addition to alpha-tocopherol. Thus the benefit of our vitamin E is higher than other products that contain only alpha-tocopherol, especially those that contain only the synthetic.

Vitamin C. The National Institutes of Health published a study indicating that 200 milligrams was the optimum dose for vitamin C.

Other products contain grape seed extract, rosemary, green tea and all kinds of other extracts. Why doesn't yours?
Our products contain the highest quality ingredients in a form and dose that is based on the latest scientific evidence. Other components, such as grape seed extract, may be useful but it would be impossible to include all of them in meaningful amounts. Our products prioritize the ingredient based on science to offer you the best composition possible. Many products contain token amounts, which are far too low to have a beneficial effect.
