Gary V. Cantrell, CEO
Mr. Cantrell has 30 years of experience in the life sciences industry ranging from clinical experience as a respiratory therapist while attending college to his recent appointment as CEO of Yasoo Health, an emerging research and science based nutraceutical company. Most recently, he was President of The Catevo Group, a Raleigh, NC based health care consulting firm. Prior to that, he was Executive VP, Sales and Marketing for TEAMM Pharmaceuticals, an Accentia Biopharmaceuticals company, where he lead all commercial activities for a public specialty pharmaceutical business. His previous 22 years were at GSK where he held progressively senior management positions in sales, marketing and business development. Mr. Cantrell is a graduate of Wichita State University and serves as an advisor to several emerging life science companies along with his role as Board Advisor to the North Carolina State University Supply Chain Resource Consortium, focusing on Biopharmaceuticals.
Andreas M. Papas, PhD, President
Andreas M. Papas, a foundimg member of Yasoo, is President and member of the Board. He holds a Ph.D. in Nutritional Biochemistry and combines 25 years of academic and industrial experience in nutraceuticals. A Fulbright Scholar at the University of Illinois, Dr. Papas is currently an Adjunct Professor at the College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University. He is the author of The Vitamin E Factor (HarperCollins, 1999) and editor of the scientific book Antioxidant Status, Diet, Nutrition and Health (CRC Press, 1998).
Constantinos Neophytou, PhD, VP, International Operations
Constantinos Neophytou, Vice President, International Operations, received his MA from Cambridge and his Ph.D. in Neuroscience at University College London in England. He was a post-doctoral fellow at Harvard Medical School as a Welcome Prize Trust Scholar before working in a securities firm and as a consultant for an investment bank. He joined Yasoo in 2002.
Konstantinos (Gus) Papas, MD, VP, Medical and Regulatory Affairs
Konstantinos Papas, Vice President, Medical and Regulatory Affairs, received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed his residency at Stanford University and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Papas also holds a Masters degree in Public Health Policy and Administration. He joined Yasoo in 2002.
Robin Wilson, VP Finance/Controller
Robin Wilson, Vice President Finance/Controller, has over 20 years of professional experience, having served as Financial Analyst for Cardinal Health and Controller for TEAMM Pharmaceuticals, a wholly owned subsidiary of Accentia Biopharmaceuticals. Her key responsibilities have included financial reporting and analysis, budget/forecast modeling and system design for process improvement. Robin received her Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Organizational Development from Mount Olive College and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Professional Accounting from Strayer University.
Dimitri Papadimitriou, PhD, Director of Product Development
Dimitri Papadimitriou received his formal education at the University of Athens, Greece, graduating from the School of Pharmacy. Subsequently, he was admitted to the University of Tennessee Medical center in Memphis where he completed his graduate studies in the area of pharmaceutics and received his Ph.D. degree in the specialty of Industrial Pharmacy. Post doctoral studies followed at the University of Kentucky focusing in drug analysis. The next 15 years, he worked for the drug industry in the areas of product development, quality control and production. The last 12 years he held various technical positions in the field of dietary supplements/nutraceuticals where he specialized in product design and formulation of nutritional products. Recently he joined Yasoo Health supporting introduction of innovative products that address malabsorption of nutrients in chronic diseases.
John A Hyatt, PhD, Director of Research
John Hyatt, Director of Research, earned his Ph.D. in organic chemistry at Ohio State University and was a postdoctoral Fellow in the Dept. of Chemistry at Harvard University, where he worked in natural products chemistry under Nobel laureate R.B. Woodward. Dr. Hyatt was a Research Fellow at Eastman Chemical Co.'s research labs prior to joining Yasoo. He holds a concurrent appointment as Research Professor in Chemistry at East Tennessee State University and is the author of over 80 technical papers and US patents in organic chemistry. He joined Yasoo in 2004
Phillip Cook, PhD, Director of Formulations
Phillip Cook Ph.D., Director of Formulations, has 26 years experience with Eastman Chemical Company having worked in process development, scale-up and manufacturing, research and technical service. His areas of strong concentration include drug delivery, coatings technology, chemical synthesis, nutritional product development, cosmetics/personal care product development and project management. He received his Ph.D degree from the University of Tennessee, holds 25 US patents covering a wide variety of topics and is a United States Air Force veteran.
Barbara Schreiber, National Sales Manager
Barbara Schreiber joined Yasoo Health with 20+ years experience in sales and marketing of both pharmaceuticals and biotechnology products, working with Bayer and Bristol Myers Squibb, and with 3 years hospital clinical and research endocrinology laboratory experience. Barbara is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh in Biophysics and Microbiology, and is responsible for US sales of all Yasoo Health product lines.
